Social Security or Centrelink

If you’re unable to work more than 15 hours a week due to injury or illness you may be entitled to a Disability Support Pension (“DSP”).

DSP’s provide disability income to those that are unable to work. However, in recent times, it has become very difficult for sick and injured people to prove that they are entitled to a DSP because of the introduction of a complex and hard to satisfy test.

Despite the complexity, at Berrill & Watson, we understand Centrelink entitlements and the requirements which must be satisfied to get a DSP. We are also experts at working with doctors to make sure that they do what is needed to get a DSP claim approved.

Together with Social Security Rights Victoria, we have established fact sheets and other useful information which can help individuals, their caseworkers and their doctor better understand and navigate the DSP process.

If you would like to know more about this work or DSP’s in general, please get in touch for free legal advice.
